The Board of Directors of Blue Friday of New York is pleased two announce the two winners of the 2022 Father James Lefebvre Scholarship. Daniel H. Casey, and Hannah G. Mills.
Daniel H. Casey – is a Senior at Burnt Hills-Ballston Spa High School and he is the son of Daniel Casey who served 25 years with the Albany County Sheriff’s Office and is presently employed with the Veterans Affairs Police Dept. in Albany, N.Y.
Daniel comes from a long line of law enforcement in his family as his grandfather served 30 years with the Albany Police Dept. Daniel has been very active in sports having played football and was on the wrestling team which resulted in his team winning the Section Two Division One Title in both wrestling and football. Daniel scored 1140 on his SATs and presently has a 97% average. Daniel will be attending Siena College in the Fall of 2022 and pursuing a degree in Accounting.

Hannah G. Mills – is a Senior at Saugerties High School and is the daughter of Sgt. Sydney C. Mills of the Saugerties Police Department. Hannah has been very active in school activities and band and is carrying a 96.5% average. She has been accepted into the Pforzheimer Honors College at PACE University in the Fall of 2022 and will be pursuing a degree in Education and Communications.
